Films listed here are those that have played in Hong Kong cinemas but have not yet been announced for DVD release. (Recently-announced titles are listed on the home page.) Listed by original release date.

Where to buy?

Depends on where you live and your comfort level with the Internet.

Hong Kong Internet retailers offer the lowest prices for titles released there, but the shipping costs are higher, so it's usually a good idea to wait until you're ready to order a number of titles.

Recommended: DDD House (my current choice when I'm ready to stockpile DVDs); HiVi Zone (a little slower to post new titles, but provided good service).

Internet shops based in the United States provide good value for North American residents, especially if you only want to buy a few titles at a time. The prices are marked up, but shipping costs are lower. Remember that sales tax may be added for local residents.

Recommended: HKFlix.com (my affiliate partner - I receive a small commission if you buy through this link); Poker Industries (always good service); Azn Films (excellent customer service via e-mail; plenty of information on PAL and other region titles).

Region 1 releases from major studios are generally not available from the retailers listed above. Internet retailers usually offer the best prices, but you'll need to comparison shop. Be sure to check shipping costs before placing your order.

Recommended: Amazon.com (extremely convenient, but prices are no longer the lowest); DVD Planet (good services with decent prices and frequent sales); Deep Discount DVD (very competitive prices).
